    I believe that J.J. is a brilliant marketer. He is able to honestly sell himself and the movies/shows he makes.

    His recent gig as the guest chief-editor is a prime example of this. It's a low-tech solution for reaching exactly his target market for the new Star Trek movie. Most importantly, it gives him an honest outlet to show his worth (i.e. create a very cool version of Wired Magazine) and to subtly plug his movie.
